Product Certifikation
Secure through complete Documentation
The certification of a product outwardly documents its compliance with the legal and product- specific requirements for the market. The certificate is the proof of tested quality and thus creates the prerequisites for the marketing of the product - particularly EU-wide. Thus, the directives of the European Union for numerous products define the basic safety and health requirements as minimum requirements, which must be fulfilled by the manufacturer. By means of a so-called conformity assessment process, the manufacturer must prove that he has observed the basic directives and standards which are described there and are relevant for his product. The conformity assessment process must be conducted by the manufacturer for every product before it is offered for sale for the first time. At the end of the conformity assessment process for his product, the manufacturer issues an EC declaration of conformity for his product in which he declares that the product conforms with the requirements of the corresponding directive(s).
The laboratory of the EMC Competence Center is authorized to conduct the tests which are necessary for the issue of the proof of conformity (DOC). Prerequisite for the certification is the compliance with the limiting values required in the standards. The result is then a test report which comprehensibly documents the product-specific characteristics.
The certificate as such forms the essential basis for the achievement of legal certainty, not least against the background of increasing market monitoring.
